On October 2, 2024, a delegation from 108 Military Central Hospital, Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to President Shigeru Saito, University of Toyama (UT).
Toyama University Hospital and 108 Military Central Hospital, Vietnam have been continuing international exchanges in a variety of ways such as organizing international symposiums and UT’s doctors providing medical technical guidance at graduate schools of 108 Military Central Hospital.

After the courtesy visit, the delegation toured operation rooms and the inpatient ward in Toyama University Hospital led by Prof. Tsutomu Fujii, Deputy Hospital Director.
In the afternoon, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Atsushi Hayashi, Director of Toyama University Hospital, and signed an international medical agreement with Toyama University Hospital. After the greetings by Prof. Hayashi and Prof. Le Huu Song, Director, 108 Military Central Hospital, they exchanged opinions on international cooperation and academic exchange.
It is expected that international exchange with Toyama University Hospital will become more active in the future.
